Costumes and Characters

For those unfamiliar with the Doctor Who Universe here are some links for more information:

The two sides will be Good and Evil, but we’re trying not to be too restrictive as to costumes. Anyone can dress up if they like, and there’s no bounties on characters so go wild and don’t worry about being chased around by bounty hunters all day. Doctors and Companions will end up on the Good side and monsters on the side of Evil, so bear that in mind when booking in, but feel free to dress up as any character or creature you like.

The sides will be split into factions as well:

The Sontarans

The clone warriors combine savagery in battle with centuries of military experience and an unmatched grasp of military strategy. Their experience of time travel means they can fight in multiple time zones without becoming disoriented and the promise of a final victory against the Rutan Empire and control of their disputed sectors of the galaxy will ensure their loyalty.

The Sea Devils and Silurians

These one-time rulers of the Earth, now reduced to hiding in the deepest oceans and caves, will go to any lengths to regain control of their planet before humanity can damage it any further. They can fight unaffected in previous eras of their planet’s timeline and the prospect of an Earth scoured clean of human beings will drive them to battle without mercy.

The Slitheen

These outcast members of the Raxacoricofallapatorian race are ruthless and can assume a human guise when required, useful if subterfuge becomes necessary. They will join us merely for the promise of hunting humans in greater numbers than they ever dreamed possible, with the thought of huge profits upon realising our goal a substantial incentive to combine their strength with ours.

U.N.I.T.

Despite the limitations of the human intellect and their laughable weaponry, this taskforce of military and scientific experts has defeated many threats to their home planet, aided of course by the meddling Doctor. They can be outwitted by a cunning foe but even I must admit they lack nothing in bravery and have extensive combat experience.

Torchwood

These covert defenders of Humanity focus on the control of alien technology and can bring exotic weapons to bear from a huge range of races and time periods. Do not let their lack of uniforms and apparent lack of organisation deceive you; they are resourceful and ingenious opponents potentially drawn from all areas of human endeavour and history.

Bad Wolf

Even I have been unable to discover much about this organisation, or indeed if it is an organisation at all. It will have to suffice that a group of apparent humans claiming to represent Bad Wolf and sporting alien technology will be fighting on the human side, so use caution when engaging this unknown threat.

So if you like camo or trenchcoats best aim for the human forces and if rubbery tentacles are more your thing then get with the forces of evil. Sides will be identified by armbands on the day so you can wear your ghillie suit or Marpat on the day or just attach it to the eyestalk of your Dalek costume.
