Time Wars 2007 - wrapped up!

Pictures now online: Jim's pictures & paintballpictures.co.uk

Well it’s a week now since the event and now its time to reflect on what was good, and more importantly what didn’t go to plan. We put a lot of effort into making the first Time Wars a special event and it’s evident from all the feedback on the forums that you felt we achieved what we set out to do. Thanks for all your praise, it makes it worth it.

I really need to thank Jeff Abbott of Dye Europe and Jim Rose of wearepaintball.com for the fantastic raffle prizes. Also Olly Bell for his wicked scenario, all the marshals and staff and last but not least Andy Beard and SIGA for creating the most awesome props.

We have already starting to think how we can raise the bar even further and will try to make Time Wars 2008 even more spectacular!

Hope you like the pics.

All the best

Niall

A scenario paintball event to be held on October 7th 2007 at Campaign Paintball Park in Surrey, based on the 'Dr Who' stories.

“We hope we have taken all the elements of what makes a scenario/big game fun and added a bit of a twist”

Niall Squire - Event Organiser

Campaign is not only a well known venue with some excellent game features (check out www.campaignpaintball.com to get a feel for what’s in store), but these are also the people responsible the Campaign Cup - the granddaddy of all paintball tournaments; and the Malaga Beach event, widely regarded as the best tournament ever held in Europe.

UK Paintball’s maverick gunslinger Olly Bell has devised a really interesting scenario for the event. As well as writing for PGI magazine, Olly can be seen at most paintball events throughout the UK, (he particularly loves scenario games) and has wanted to get his teeth into writing a scenario for some time. Time Wars brings into play not only games in different historical settings, but also involves characters from both Dr Who and Torchwood.

Tickets cost £40.00 per player if you have your own gun and equipment or £50.00 per player for rentals ( 'Inferno' paintball gun running on compressed air, hopper and thermal goggles).

The event is BYO, (although cheap good quality paint will be available if required). Air will be provided at 3000psi and 4500psi along with CO2 if required. We will be having a players party on Saturday night, with a BBQ, raffle prizes, a talent show and some “added entertainment”… (cough cough!). Camping is free and available for those who want.

With props-a-plenty and a couple of new game zones being built especially for the event, Time Wars promises to be a  “not to be missed event”.
